Pickler lived in a challenging environment. At the age of two, her mother ran away to avoid an abusive situation. Then, in 1995, she re-entered to Pickler's world and gained the custody rights. It did not work out well. Pickler returned to her grandparents at twelve years old. Her grandparents brought her through to adulthood. Pickler had to take care of her kids without parents. In absence of her parents Pickler's schedule was so busy that she could not take classes. Instead she started learning how to care for her family members at a younger age. Pickler was a member of her high school's and middle school's cheerleading squad. North Stanly High School graduated in the year 2004. Pickler has also been a beauty contestant.
